Lioness Club of the Sutherland Shire – celebrate their 39th anniversary

On Thursday 26th October the Lioness Club of the Sutherland Shire celebrated their 39th anniversary of services to the community with their Charter dinner and a delicious cake made by Lioness June Orsman. A toast was proposed by the District Lions Club’s Governor Ron Gattone who attended the event held at Doltone House, Sylvania. Two donations were presented to the following charities during the evening.

Little Wings representative Richelle Koller accepted a cheque donation from the Lioness’s for $10,000 raised from telemarketing.  Little Wings charity, www.littlewings.org.au, assists children with serious and life threatening illness’s by providing flights to distant medical treatment centres.  Jen Armstrong and Denise Dolan representing the Beauty Bank also accepted a cheque donation for $3,600 from profits raised at a recent Lioness fashion parade luncheon featuring Bay Road Clothes held at the ‘Sharkies’ Club Cronulla. The Beauty Bank, www.thebeautybank.org, helps provide the disadvantaged with toiletries, beauty products and clothing.
