Invites you to

The Great Ideas Forum

BANKSTOWN SPORTS CLUB ,  8 Greenfield Parade, Bankstown

31st (Sat) AUGUST 2019

Registration 8.30am

Session  1         9.00am – 12.30pm

Session  2         1.30pm – 4.30pm

Lions Clubs in the 201N5 District raise millions of dollars a year to assist those in the community who need it most.

We are faced with a dilemma; our ageing membership and our challenge in recruiting new members. If we do not begin to bring in new members now, projections are we will lose around 30% of our members in 5 years time.

This has a  direct affect on those we help in the community. What would happen if this funding was to disappear?

What is required is a District wide strategy where we can all work to the same page as one .

  1. We must increase positive awareness to the public as a District
  2. We must have a recruitment strategy—where best to place new members?
  3. We must have a focus to increase our current rate of 1st year retentions

This forum will focus on the following:

  • What District is doing to dramatically increase awareness of what Lions do
  • How this will impact membership recruitment
  • What is our membership recruitment plan? What are the options?
  • Suggestions on how we can retain our new members
  • What projects can we implement to attract and retain younger people
  • How to improve the way we communicate
